Jay, the owner of the guesthouse we are living at, invited us to explore the Kilim Geoforest Park 😃 So nice!⠀ We didn't read anything about this park - and didn't know what to expect - just go with the flow, right?⠀ ◇⠀ As soon as we reached Tanjung Rhu jetty to take a boat, we realised that we were going to do a boat tour through the Mangrove of Langkawi 😃⠀ During half day, the boat cruised on Langkawi's Kilim River, through the Mangrove forests, 🌿 where you can see an amazing fauna (eagles, monkeys, bats) & flora with stunning geological formations like limestone rocks, caves, beaches...⠀ The cliffs are just stunning! 😍⠀ We had a great day! ⠀ ◇⠀ BUT - sorry there is a BUT - there is a fish farm 🐟 where hundreds of fishes are captivated in tiny "pounds", just to show them to tourists... The poor little fellas don't have any space to swim... people are touching them... it was a terrible to see... 😢⠀ In this way, I'm wondering how this park got the tittle of UNESCO Geopark... Yes it's stunning and they should protect it, so why are people feeding eagles and monkeys and why there are hundreds of fishes in JAIL? 🤔⠀ ▼⠀ ▼⠀ OUR ULTIMATE LANGKAWI GUIDE IS READY! These Dreadlocks were made by more than 10 nationalities 🌏 I had the pleasure to meet a lot of amazing people during my Australia trip back in 2015/2016 and I still remember how we all worked on these fellas! 😃⠀ I feel so good about the decision I made, even though we had just one person who knew how it's done! So he "teached" all of us! Hahah! Every Dreadlock tells a story about one person. I take good care of them and love maintaining them! Are there fellow dread souls out there?
